A book gives you wings to fly!
"After writing this book, I often came across the following question: why was my first book not about economics? The answer is simple, after lecturing for 13 years, I understood that there are many difficulties for some students in relation to mathematics, which has a negative impact on their performance in economic sciences and other areas of knowledge. More than criticizing, a teacher should come up with solutions. In order to minimize these difficulties, I decided to develop a manual that would support students in order to understand that mathematics is fascinating and has no taboo. Thus, the book "Práticas de Análise Matemática" (Mathematical Analysis) was born. One of the characteristics of an economic good is its ability to satisfy a specific need.

Math is fascinating!
Initially, the book "Mathematical Analysis" was released in Portuguese (Prática de Análise Matemática), and then translated into 3 Angolan national languages (Kikongo, Kimbumbu and Umbundo), followed by the translation into English and French. The first translation was released on the 17th of May 2018 at the Letters' Faculty of the University Agostinho Neto. It was presented to more than 7,000 students in 3 countries, namely Angola, Cabo Verde and Mozambique. In addition, it put emphasis on the financial education seminars.
The book is also dedicated to master Jacob Manuel P. Lunghu.
When a book mobilizes people who love knowledge, there is the assurance that it contributes to the knowledge acquisition.

Cabo Verde
The presentation of the book "Mathematical Analysis" took place at the University of Mindelo and the University of Cape Verde.
Mozambique
The book "Mathematical Analysis" was presented in the following educational institutions: Pedagogical University of Maputo, Higher Institute of Management and Administration of Maputo, Higher School of Economics and Management, Joaquim Chissano University and São Tomás University of Mozambique.
"I managed to turn a dream into reality when in 2018, the book "Práticas de Análise Matemática" was translated into 3 Angolan national languages (Kikongo, Kimbundo and Umbundo). Despite suggestions not to do so allegedly because it is not commercially viable, I didn't give up instead, I decided to coordinate the translation team and finally the three versions of the book in national languages were released. Language is part of the culture of a group of people thus our culture is our identity. Therefore, the main goal was to contribute to the preservation of Angolan national languages, by providing speakers of these languages the opportunity to assimilate mathematical knowledge in their maternal language and to demonstrate that there is no taboo. This goal kept me motivated during this project.
The launch took place at the Letters' Faculty of the Agostinho Neto University in Luanda with the presence of approximately 200 people.
The book is also a gift to the art audience as its cover includes emblematic symbols of Angola, such as Queen Nzinga Mbandi (monarch of Ndongo and Matamba (1581–1663)), O Pensador (The Thinker), Moco Hill (highest point of the country with 2620 meters) and the Cathedral of San Salvador do Congo in Mbanza Congo, built in 1491 and part of the UNESCO world heritage sites.

Práticas de Análise Matemática em línguas nacionais (Kikongo, Kimbumbu e Umbundo)
UFISU WA KUTALA MATEMATIKA is the book Mathematical Analysis by Sudica Semedo, translated into Kimbundo. "I am proud to have coordinated the team that created this work, proving that the fear of falling cannot be greater than the desire to fly.
I consider this work a 3 in 1, the three elements being mathematics, language and art. In addition to the mathematical content, it preserves our culture through the kimbundo national language which mirrors the identity of a group of people. The art is represented on the cover of the book, where we can observe the Queen Nzinga Mbandi, Palanca Negra Gigante (Giant Sable Antelope), O Pesador (The Thinker), in addition to some musical instruments."
To stop is not an option therefore, the book was also translated into Kikongo and Umbundo, representing 9 out of 3.
As a result of the completion of these 3 books, more than 200 people were present on the day of the its launch at the Letters' Faculty of Agostinho Neto University. It was a great satisfaction to notice that the academy welcomed the books for future case studies and the book is available to the society in general for knowledge acquisition using their maternal language.

It will be up to the teacher to pedagogically demystify the "complexity" of mathematics and to be humble enough to understand the expression "the only thing I know is that I know nothing". It is crucial for the teachers to have the ambition to each day overcome themselves, by explaining students the practical application of Maths in our daily life.
To Parents and guardians
Children learn through games. Teach them while playing enjoyable games, they assimilate better as a result. It is essential to support your child, especially for those who are in primary and pre-school education. At this stage, children have a great ability to learn and they would benefit from parental stimulation. Outsourcing the role of parents to schools and After School Clubs, will not work. Make an introspection as a parent and ask yourself:
How many hours a week do you dedicate to your child's education?
Have you ever asked your child why do they cheat in exams?
Is it relevant for your child to move up to the following academic year without mastering the content of the current year?
Mathematic is fascinating!
